Kristen champions neuro-diversity affirming practice and believes the best results are achieved when clinicians, educators and care-givers work to understand and celebrate the child while supporting their ongoing development. Kristen works closely with other professionals including paediatricians, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, physiotherapists and educators. She can provide referrals to appropriate services as required.

Kristen is passionate about children’s literature, believing it holds great value in helping children to understand their world and develop positive strategies to navigate common challenges. After co-developing the poem with her children over a few years, she wrote No Matter What which was published in 2023 and is available here
(Australia, USA, UK, Canada).

Kristen feels there is a natural link between her clinical and creative work. After reflecting on the wonderful inner nature of her patients, she developed the concept of Beautiful Brains as an overarching multifaceted endeavour to promote healthy childhood neuro-development.

Kristen lives in Adelaide with her husband and three young children. In addition to her work with children, she enjoys spending time with her family outdoors.
